ABOUT YOUR TUTOR GURU, SONYA

As a high achieving student, I understand the academic stressors experienced by many students which is why I specifically make tutoring a fun, supportive and encouraging experience. Throughout my elementary and middle school years, I struggled at times with building academic confidence and often compared myself to my peers. Through my own personal experiences during that time with private tutoring I was able to address those subjects that I struggled with, develop skills to improve my comprehension, and build confidence! I know that individualized tutoring works! Now as a high school student, I navigate advanced Honors and AP Courses and I know the path to academic success. I am especially focused on tutoring in the subject areas of English, math, science and language (Beginner Spanish).
